Yes. What you share in therapy is confidential, with limited exceptions required by law including situations involving imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, or mandated reporting situations. Kamal will review confidentiality and its limits in your first session.
We start with a conversation. There's no particular format you're expected to follow. Kamal's role in early sessions is to understand your situation, build trust, and help identify what you most want to work on.
iMan Therapy is currently an out-of-network provider. Sessions are private pay. A superbill is provided for clients seeking out-of-network reimbursement through their insurance. Contact your insurer to understand your specific coverage.
Most clients begin with weekly sessions. Frequency can be adjusted as therapy progresses based on your goals and circumstances.
A free 15-minute consultation is available before you commit to anything. It's an opportunity to ask questions, get a sense of Kamal's approach, and decide if this feels like a fit.
Therapy at iMan Therapy is not a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. For mental health crisis support, call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line).
